Hatchet Granny

The name is based off of the real "Hatchet Granny".

Carrie Nation was a member of the temperance movement in the 1890's. She would take a hatchet and go around destroying saloons and delivering lectures (which she dubbed "hatchetations") and delivering lectures and sermons about the evils of liquor.

She was arrested over 30 times.

She would sell hatchet pins to her followers and supporters in order to fund her ventures.

She published her own newspaper in 1901, the Smasher's Mail.
